Jesintha is a sweet and caring girl from Nuwara Eliya, a peaceful and scenic town in Sri Lanka known for its cool climate and lush tea plantations. She lives with her parents and two siblings in their own small house built with cement walls, a cement floor, and a tin roof. Her father works full-time as a vegetable seller, earning about $1000 annually, while her mother stays at home to take care of the family. Jesintha helps her mother by gathering firewood and enjoys reading storybooks in her free time. She attends a primary school just a short walk away, going there each day with her brother. Despite their efforts, her family faces many difficulties in providing nutritious meals and managing educational expenses for the children. Life is a daily challenge for them, yet they continue to stay hopeful for a better future. A sponsorship would greatly support Jesintha’s education and help her family overcome financial hardships.
