Ikaro is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his paternal grandparents, Francisco and Maria, in a small rural village located in the interior of the state of Ceara, which is a hot and remote region. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. The parents have separated and live in different areas. Francisco works as a day laborer in agriculture when available and his low income is far from enough to meet basic needs. Ikaro is cheerful and affectionate. He helps his grandma by making the beds and filling the bottles with water. He likes playing soccer along with his friends. Ikaro attends a local public elementary school and his favorite subject is math. His wish is to be a police officer when he grows up. The family is needy and through your support Ikaro and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
