Sponsor A Child

Leonela is a very smart girl who lives in a community located in the southeastern part of Mozambique. She lives with her parents and cousin in a self-built house with reed walls, a thatched roof and dirt floor. They do not have running water. They get the water from a well which is located 9 km away. Their health center is located 12 km away. At home, she often helps her family with the light chores around the house. On her spare time, she enjoys playing dodge ball. She attends primary school. Her favorite subject is Portuguese. In future, she would like to be an Enginer. Her parents grow some crops. There is no production because the soil is infertile. There is lack of rain and there is drought. Leonela participates in the program where she will receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition and recreation. A kind sponsorship and love will be a great blessing for this child in having a nice childhood.
