Nelio is a friendly boy who lives in a small community located in the southeastern part of Mozambique. He lives with his mother in a self-built house with reed walls, a thatched roof and dirt floor. They do not have running water. They use borehole water which is 3 km away. They walk long distances to reach their health center when they are ill. The distance from their home to the health center is about 12 km. Nelio attends school and his favorite subject is Portuguese. In future, he would like to be a teacher. His mother is a subsistence farmer. In spite of all the effort that they make things do not get any better. The cost of life keeps rising; food is very expensive. They are not happy with the life they are having because they sometimes lack food. Nelio participates in the program where he will receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition and recreation. His family will benefit from the training skills and home improvement programs. Your support will have a lasting impact on the child.
