Laida is a little girl who lives in the southern part of Mozambique. She lives with her parents and sister in a very small house made of wood. The parents of Laida are farmers, so they live from agriculture. They consume part of their production and sell the other part to be able to buy other types of food, like rice and fish, school material and clothes. They live in an area where it is difficult to have access to clean water or electricity and they have to walk long distances to find water. On her free time, Laida enjoys reading. In the future she would like to become a cook. The family of Laida believes that with the help from ChildFund and partners Laida will have the chance of a better future and their lives will be better.
