Lavinencio is a little boy who lives in the southern part of Mozambique. He lives with his mother-in-law and his brother in a very small house made of wood and zinc sheets. The father of Lavinencio is deceased. His mother-in-law is a farmer, so they live from agriculture. They consume part of their production and sell the other part to be able to buy other types of food, like rice and fish, school material and clothes. They live in an area where it is difficult to have access to clean water or electricity and they have to walk long distances to find water. Lavinencio is in grade three and his favorite subject is Portuguese. On his free time, Lavinencio enjoys playing football with friends. He also enjoys helping his family washing dishes. The family of Lavinencio believes that with the help from ChildFund and partners Lavinencio will have the chance of a better future and their lives will be better.
