Ndaia is a little girl who lives in the southern part of Mozambique. She lives with her parents, one older sister and two older brothers in a very small house made of straw. The parents of Ndaia are farmers, so they live from agriculture. They consume part of their production and sell the other part to be able to buy other types of food, like rice and fish, school material and clothes. They live in an area where it is difficult to have access to clean water or electricity and they have to walk long distances to find water. Ndaia is in grade three and her favorite subject is Portuguese. In the future, she would like to become a teacher. On her free time, Ndaia enjoys playing hopscotch with friends and with dolls. She also enjoys helping her family washing dishes. The family of Ndaia believes that with the help from ChildFund and partners Ndaia will have the chance of a better future and their lives will be better.
