Subhankar fondly called Subha hails from an abjectly deprived family. The father is a casual worker and works hard. But this meagre income is far from sufficient to support the growing children. His annual income is approximately US dollars 485 per annum. The mother tries to make the most of what is at hand, but there is abounding privation at home with no way out of their miserable plight. Keen on giving this child the chance of a better future thru education, the desperate parents finally sought aid from this project. Subhankar is attending primary school. His favourite subject is science. He enjoys playing group games with friends. His health is normal. He has scar marks round his face.
