Senia is a little girl who lives in the southern part of Mozambique. She lives with her parents and two siblings in a very small house made of concrete and zinc sheets. The parents of Senia are farmers, so they live from agriculture. They consume part of their production and sell the other part to be able to buy other types of food, like rice and fish, school material and clothes. They live in an area where it is difficult to have access to clean water or electricity and they have to walk long distances to find water. Senia is in grade four and her favorite subject is Portuguese. On her free time, Senia enjoys playing hopscotch and football with friends. She also enjoys helping her family washing dishes and sweeping the yard. In the future she would like to become a teacher. The family of Senia believes that with the help from ChildFund and partners Senia will have the chance of a better future and their lives will be better.
