Yslla is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents. Pedro and Raniele, in a rural community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is rented, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Pedro works as an assistant bricklayer (doing odd jobs) and the family receives a small family allowance from the federal government; the total income, however, is hardly enough to meet basic needs. Yslla is affectionate and intelligent. She helps her mom by making the beds and putting the dishes away. Yslla loves jumping rope, she attends a local public elementary school and her favorite subject is Math. Her big dream is to become a doctor someday. The family is needy and through your support Yslla and her family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
