Mariama is a young girl living in a small village in the West Coast region of The Gambia. She resides with her parents and a brother. Her father is a local farmer who grows food crops and a few cash crops to sustain the family, while her mother contributes by engaging in small-scale vegetable gardening to support their livelihood. Despite their hard work, the family’s annual income is very low, which makes it difficult for them to meet the basic needs of all its members. She is a healthy and active child who attends the village nursery school. She enjoys learning and spends her free time playing with toys made from locally sourced materials. With your support, her education and healthcare can be significantly improved. Sponsorship will enable her to continue her schooling, access better healthcare, and provide her with the resources she needs to reach her full potential. By investing in her future, you will not only change her life but also positively impact her community.
