Maria Isabele is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents, Izeudo and Natalia, and younger sister and brother, Maria Isadora and Pedro, in a small rural community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, rough cement flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Water is carried from a well. Electricity is available. Izeudo works as a day laborer in agriculture and the family receives a small family allowance from the federal government. Maria Isabele is affectionate, playful and intelligent. She helps her mom by washing the dishes. She is very fond of animals, especially horses. She attends a local public elementary school and her favorite subject is Math. Her big dream is to become a veterinarian someday. The family is needy and through your support Maria Isabele and her family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation, education and nutrition.
