Marcos is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Antonio and Meirylane, and with one younger brother, in a slum area on the outskirts of a city located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, rough cement flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Antonio works as a driver for a local firm and his earnings are far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of his family. Marcos is playful, intelligent, tranquil and affectionate. He helps his mom by making the beds and shopping for small items at a nearby grocery store. He likes playing soccer along with his friends. He has a dog he is fond of. Marcos attends a local public elementary school and his favorite subject is History. His wish is to be a truck driver when he grows up. The family is needy and through your support Marcos and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
