Catherine, or simply Cathy, was born the eldest among three children. Her family resides in a rural community, in their own house built from light materials like bamboo and wood. It is along the barangay road, which is why electricity connection is much more accessible plus the communal water faucet. The familys main livelihood is farming. Her father farms a variety of crops like cassava, sweet potato, and upland rice. They generate about $68.90 depending on their harvest every month. Since it usually comes up short, the family works sideline as a rubber tapper. Cathy is now enrolled in primary school. She loves going to school every day to socialize with her friends and of course, learn. Cathy performs well in class, especially on her favorite subjects like Filipino and Math. Her favorite color is yellow, and she likes to eat delicious food like meat soup and fruits. At home, she will help her mother sweep the floor and wash their dishes. Catherine is smart and kind.
