Leilani Salome, Salome for her family is a healthy, cheerful and smiling girl. She is starting primary school and language is her favorite subject. Her dream is to become a doctor. Salome loves dancing and singing and helps her mother running small errands. She has no brothers or sisters and lives with her parents in a small borrowed dwelling close to school and to a health center. The house is built with adobe mud walls, tiles roof and cement floor. They have a toilet inside the house and have access to electricity and piped water. The mother is a housewife and looks after Salome; the father supports the family. He is a seasonal day laborer and although he works hard, he cannot cover all the needs of his family. The parents dream to see Salome living happy as a successful professional.
