Yuki as her family calls her, is a healthy, active, and outgoing little girl whose favorite pastime is playing dolls at home. She is now attending primary school and dreams of becoming a doctor. Yuki and her family live in a small house with cemented floors, no private bathroom, and bad sanitation with lack of clean water for them to drink. She is the only child in the family. Her father earns a living as a laborer and earns a mere US$360 per year, while her mother is a housewife who is unskilled and cannot find a job to add to the family income. Though her father works hard, his income is still not enough to fulfill the familys needs. Her parents want their daughter to have a better future.
