Sponsor A Child

Jankey lives with her lovely family in a small rural community in West Region of the Gambia. She shares a bed with her caring mother in a mud house under a corrugated roof. As a provincial community without electricity, they rely on battery lamps for light. She is quite intelligent, beautiful and healthy. She is enrolled in Nursery School but, she lacks some basic learning and playing facilities in her school to enhance her performance. Her parents are seasonal farmers and the income they generate from the farms and garden are not adequate to meet the basic needs of the family for the year due to poor harvest. Based on this information on both the child and family Jankey has been enrolled in ChildFund sponsorship to provide the family the opportunity to participate and benefit from Family support programs to improve their current situation.
