Ousman lives in a coastal village of the west coast region of the Gambia. Ousman lives with his parents in a small mud house without electricity and private bathroom. Both his parents are small scale seasonal farmers. The livelihood of the family includes growing maize, cassava and other vegetable products such as onion, tomato, pepper etc. An often low yield makes it difficult to provide enough food and to produce an income sufficient to meet other basic needs of the family. The family barely goes with three meals daily for several months per year. Drinking, washing and cooking water is collected from a nearby well which is unhealthy due to pollution. He loves singing and playing with toys. With your sponsorship, Ousman will receive support in accessing education, healthcare, clean water and nutritional care. He is in good health.
