Davi is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Altair and Claudiana, in a rural community located in the Jequitinhonha Valley, northeastern Minas Gerais, which is a poor and drought-stricken region. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Altair works as a day laborer in agriculture when available and his low income is far from enough to meet basic needs. Davi is cheerful, obedient and tranquil. He helps his mom by washing the dishes and keeping organized his own belongings. He likes playing soccer along with his friends. He has a dog he is fond of. Davi attends a local public elementary school and likes physical education. His big dream is to become a professional soccer player when he grows up. The family is needy and through your support Davi and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
