Sorie is an obedient boy who is living with his parents and brother in a village that is surrounded by many trees and different fruits in the North of Sierra Leone. The family dwells in a mud brick house roofed with old zinc. Sorie sleeps with his elder brother on a local stick bed and a dried grass mattress with thick clothes for covering under a mosquito net. The parents grow rice, potatoes and groundnuts for food at home and sell some to get money to take care of the family. This situation however, makes things difficult for the family to thrive well. They manage to survive on an annual income of around US$357 which is not enough to cater for their basic needs. They share a bowl of rice twice a day. Sorie is in good health, simply dressed and doing fine at present. He will live a better life with his family if he is considered worthy for this sponsorship.
