Nafissatou lives with her parents in a remote village where they do not have access to electricity and clean water. The family;s main activity is traditional farming from which they earn a low annual income around $300. The family has a cultivable area during the rainy season and unlike the dry season, the place is dry due to lack of water and all the needs of the family depend on the income obtained during the harvest. Nafissatou is a little joyful girl who likes to play at the castle with her friends. She is currently attending the primary school in the village. She likes to look at the drawings in her book. She hopes that sponsorship will help her grow to learn to read and write in the future.
