Hanna Cheska, or Hana, is a cheerful primary school student who enjoys Math and Filipino and loves reading storybooks and fairytales. Her favorite colors are red and orange, and she happily eats spaghetti. She dreams of becoming a teacher so she can share her love of learning with others. Hana has fair skin, almond‑shaped brown eyes, and neatly tied thin black hair. Hana also participates in Child Development sessions, where she learns about children’s rights and responsibilities. Hana lives with her family in her grandmother’s house made of hollow blocks, cement, and a metal roof. Their home has a latrine, electricity, and water from the community system, and is less than 30 minutes from the school, town proper, and health center. Her father works as a family driver while her mother stays at home to care for the family. Surrounded by guidance and support, Hana continues to grow with curiosity, confidence, and big dreams for the future.
