Putra is a young boy living in East Nusa Tenggara. He is currently enrolled in preschool, which he attends by walking every day. Putra dreams of becoming a policeman when he grows up. He lives with his parents, older sister, and grandfather in a very simple house made of woven bamboo walls, a zinc roof, and a concrete floor. Unfortunately, they do not have a bathroom inside the house. Putra is in fairly good health and is making good progress in his studies, but his family faces severe poverty. His father works as an employee, but his modest and uncertain income is not enough to meet the basic needs of the family. His mother, unable to find work due to a lack of skills, cannot contribute to alleviating their financial struggles. The family’s monthly income is just around US$ 37.00, making it difficult to cover essential expenses. Despite these challenges, Putra’s parents are determined to provide the best care and opportunities for their children. We are pleased to welcome him into our program.
