Name: Ikara

Country: Kenya

Birthday: 08/20/2015

Susan is a cheerful young girl who lives in Turkana County in the northern part of Kenya. She lives together with both his parents and one brother. They live in a communal land in a hut made of grass thatched. They get their water from a nearby river, which is not clean and can expose the child and family into communicable diseases. The father is the bread winner who depends on riding bike and mother makes and sells baskets. The family’s annual income is less than $360 USD which hardly meets their basic needs. This challenge has forced the family to struggle hard to get food, medical care, school supply, house supply and other necessities. Susan goes to a nearby school in their village, she is in primary and performs well in drawing and mathematics. Susan likes playing with handmade dolls with her friends during her free time and rolling tires. Community leaders referred the parents to seek help from child fund project to assist Susan achieve her dreams. According to her parents, Susan would like to be a nurse in future. Your support will bring a lasting change to Susan’s life.

Ending child poverty begins with Ikara. It’s easy. It’s impactful.
