Elkhanah is a charming boy who comes from Turkana County in northern part of Kenya. He stays with his mother, father, two sisters and one brother. The family lives in a palm thatched mud hut in their communal land. Their main source of livelihood is making and selling of brooms at the local marketing center. The annual income derived from the economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to cater for all the family’s basic needs. His mother therefore approached the organization for further assistance. Elkhanah is enrolled in a nearby school where he enjoys English and Kiswahili lessons. His favorite game is playing with homemade toy cars and playing football. At home, he likes helping his mother in fetching water and gathering firewood. Your support will bring a lasting change in his life and the whole family.
