Nakiru is a jovial boy who lives in Turkana County, the Northern part of Kenya. He lives together with his parents, one brother and two sisters. They live in a communal land in a palm leaves thatched house. They get their water from a nearby shallow well whose water is not clean and safe for human consumption as it predisposes the child to water borne diseases. The mother is the bread winner who depends on weaving and selling brooms. The family’s annual income is less than 360 US dollars which hardly meets their basic needs. Nakiru goes to a nearby school in the village, he does well in mathematics where he mostly enjoys counting, summation, division and multiplication sessions. Nakiru likes playing football with his friends during his free time and fetching water. Community leaders referred the parents to seek help from organization to assist Nakiru achieve his dreams. He helps his parents in fetching water and cleaning the house. According to his parent, Nakiru would like to be a surgeon in future. Your support will bring a lasting change to Nakiru’s life.
