Irine is a very bright girl who lives in Turkana County in the northern part of Kenya. She lives together with her parents and three sisters. They live in a communal land in a mud grass thatched house. They get their water from the tap. The mother is the bread winner who depends on weaving. The family’s annual income is less than US $360 which hardly meets their basic needs. This challenge has forced the family to struggle hard to get food, medical care, school supply, house supply and other necessities. Irine goes to a nearby school in their village and loves drawing. Irine likes rope skipping with her friends during her free time and washing the dishes. Community leaders referred the parents to seek help from child fund project to assist Irine achieve her dreams. According to her parents, Irine would like to be a teacher in future. Your support will bring a lasting change to Irine’s life.
