This is Dana. She belongs to a needy family. The father is absent. The mother works as a waitress and earns approximately 6 USD daily. Living on just one low income and under these circumstances is not easy, because the money is not enough to keep the children thriving. Dana has one brother. She speaks Spanish and attends primary school, at an upper grade. This family lives in a house property of some relatives that is not connected to the sewer system. They dont have a stove and refrigerator. Danas diet includes eggs, sauces, tortillas, milk, atole, rice, beans and meat stew, when possible. Against the odds, she is healthy and weighs 31 kg and she is 1.38 m tall. Dana enjoys the patrons feast watching the traditional dance performances and attending the religious events.
