Sorie is a smart small boy who lives with his mother and siblings in a small village in the north of Sierra Leone. His father died few months ago. The family dwells in a mud brick house roofed with old zinc that leaks during the raining season. They lack safe drinking water, electricity and poor sanitation. Their source of getting water is from the swamps and uncovered well. Sorie and family contacted diaherrea due to the unsafe drinking water they consumed. He sleeps with his siblings on a local bed stuffed with dry grass without using mosquito net. This resulted to cold and malaria. His mother grows rice, cassava and peanuts. The family annual income of US$332 is raised from the sales of the crops harvested, and it is not enough to take care of their needs. His mother manages to provide a single meal a day. Sorie is in good health. He is not yet in school. He likes to play football with his age mate. With Sponsorship support, Sorie will have access to safe drinking water, healthy and live a better life.
