Ana Cecilia is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her mother, Natanielle, and with one sister, on the outskirts of a small town located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. The father has abandoned the home and has not been providing any type of financial support for his children. Natanielle is unemployed at this time. The family receives a very small family allowance from the federal government, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Ana Cecilia is cheerful and affectionate. She helps her mom by making the beds. She loves playing house and with dolls in the company of other girls her age. Ana Cecilia attends a local public elementary school where she is making good progress. The family is needy and through your support Ana Cecilia and her family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
