Shem is brilliant young boy who live in Turkana County in the Northern part of Kenya. He lives with his mother and father, three brothers and one sister. They live in a house thatched with grass on the roof and smeared with mud on the walls. They fetch water from the nearby local hand pump. The water from the hand pump is saline and not good for drinking. However, the water is not sufficient because the whole community uses the same one pump. The family primary economic activity is vegetable vendor practices by her mother. The father is a pastor and supplement the family income. However, the family annual income is below US$ 360 which hardly meets their basic needs. The family approached the office to ask for assistance. Shem is in first grade and he loves mathematics and science. Shem loves playing football with his friends. Shem helps their family in fetching water from the pump to home and also washing dishes. Shem aspire to be an engineer in future when he grows up. Your support will be appreciated and helpful to Shem’s life.
