David is a friendly and humble boy who lives with his parents and siblings in a traditional community in North Eastern Uganda. He loves playing football with his friends and takes pride in helping his parents sweep and care for the family compound. A dedicated student, David dreams of becoming a doctor so he can one day provide medical services to his community. However, his parents struggle to afford his school requirements. Despite facing hunger and fatigue, David walks several miles to school each day, carrying his only notebook carefully wrapped in a plastic bag. At times, he misses school to help his parents with garden work, which affects his studies. Yet, David remains determined and hopeful, working hard to fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor and making a difference in his community.
