Yron is a young man who lives with his mother and grandmother in a rural community in the southeastern part of Mozambique. The region is defined by a tropical climate, marked by high temperatures and abundant precipitation throughout the year. The region is known for its high precipitation and mild weather conditions throughout the year. The family lives in a house made from materials sourced from the surrounding region, seamlessly integrating the house into the immediate environment. A well provides access to water. It is clear that parents who grow their own crops to support their families face significant challenges due to financial constraints. This means that farmers are contingent on the yield they produce from their land. Given his lack of access to basic necessities like a balanced diet, Yron faces numerous challenges. Yron is in elementary school, and this situation is undoubtedly harming his education and future. When his studies are not in session, he plays soccer and helps with household chores. The sponsorship program connects Yron with community resources, fostering growth and development.
