Mai is an active young girl who likes playing with peers especially toys.  She has two brothers and three sisters and they are all living happily. Their village is located in Foni Bondali District in the west coast region of the Gambia.  She is not attending school due to her age but she is learning values from her parents at home. Her family are farmers who usually grow crops for family consumption.  Part of the crops grown are sold to generate income for the family and that could not meet most of the needs of the family. However, if Mai is supported, she will be able to reach the higher levels of her academic career and thus achieve her future dreams. At the moment she is in good health.

Ending child poverty begins with Mai. It’s easy. It’s impactful.
