Mark is a playful young boy who lives in the central part of Uganda. He lives with his parents and siblings in a one roomed house made of muddy walls, straw thatched roof, and packed dirt floors. His father who is the sole provider of the family offers cheap labor in a neighboring farm for a rich man in their community and he is paid a wage of US 12 dollars monthly. He has really struggled to provide the basic needs of his children, but many times things do not add up and also put Mark and his siblings in an average school in their community, due to the many demands at school, he is overwhelmed with school dues and most times makes Mark to report late at school and when he reports at school, he is always sent home for the school fees balance as his friends attend class. This makes Mark, who enjoys playing football with peers at school and wants to be a nurse in future wonder whether he will complete school and eventually pursue his dream.
