Mariama is also called Maria grows in a family of local farmers in a village situated in the far hard to reach community in the north of Sierra Leone. She lives with her parents and siblings. The family dwells in a mud bricks house of four bed rooms that is roofed with old zinc that leaks during the rainy season. Their community lacks good sanitation, educational facility and good bedding. The family grow crops like maize, rice, cassava, potato and yam mainly for the home consumption and sell few to raised money. Their income is less than US$480 from their harvest. It is not enough to cater for the basic needs of the family. They share single meal a day leaving other basic needs unsatisfied. Mariama is too young to attend school and there is no schoolin their community. She likes dancing to local music and she is easily get use to peoples. With sponsorship support the child and family will live standard lives.
