Nathan is a polite and friendly boy. He is a talented footballer and his friends are proud of him. He also likes playing with old motorcycle tyres. He lives with both parents and siblings in a dilapidated hut made of mud walls and wattle in Eastern Uganda. The house requires renovation annually but his parents cannot afford it. They cultivate maize, beans, millet, and cassava for food and little for sale. The proceeds from selling part of their produce are not adequate to cater for their basic needs like clothing, medical care, good shelter, and education for Nathan. Purchase of new clothes for him and his sibling is only done during exceptional days like Christmas or New Year. During such days, all children and family have a chance to have a moderate diet meal. Nevertheless, he attends school five days a week and his favorite subject is Science. He dreams of becoming a Lawyer but if not supported, this may not come true given the low financial status at home. At home, he supports by fetching water and sweeping compound.
