Zaion is a boy who resides with his parents in a community situated on the outskirts of the city of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique.. The region is characterized by a tropical climate. Their neighborhood is particularly impoverished, with a significant portion of the population engaged in informal trading for their livelihoods. Their unfinished, self-built home is composed of concrete blocks without plaster, a zinc sheet roof, and a concrete floor. Utilities such as electricity and running water are available in the neighborhood. The father, acting as the primary breadwinner, engages in street vending, generating a modest income. However, the variability in his income is inadequate to satisfy the fundamental requirements of the family. Zaion, due to his age, is not eligible for formal education; however, He has expressed a desire to pursue a career in law enforcement. Recreational activities such as playing football and dancing are part of his routine. The family has sought assistance from the ChildFund program, where Zaion will certainly receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition, and recreation.
