Nethuki Sehensa, a little girl from Monaragala District, Sri Lanka, lives with her parents in a modest, incomplete home. Her father works as a full-time farmer, while her mother is a homemaker. With an annual income of just $800, the family faces many financial challenges. They struggle to provide three meals a day, healthy food, and cover Nethuki’s education expenses. Nethuki is a primary school student, and her school is 1.5 km away. She travels to school every day by school van with her friends. Nethuki’s favorite hobby is playing with dolls, which brings her happiness and joy. At home, she helps her mother by cleaning and washing clothes, doing her best to support her family. The family lives in their own home, though it is incomplete. The house has cement walls and a cement floor, with an asbestos sheet roof. They are fortunate to have tap water, a toilet facility, and electricity. Despite these basic amenities, the family continues to struggle. They hope for a sponsor who can help improve their situation and offer a brighter future for Nethuki.
