Vinuki is a joyful young girl from Monaragala District, a peaceful area in Sri Lanka where farming is a way of life and nature surrounds every home. She lives with her parents and brother in a simple, unfinished house made of cement walls, a concrete floor, and a roof covered with asbestos sheets. Although they have basic facilities such as tap water, electricity, and a toilet, life remains challenging for the family. Her father works hard as a full-time farmer, and her mother manages the home. With an annual income of just $800, meeting daily needs—especially providing nutritious meals and covering school costs—is a constant struggle. Vinuki attends primary school, located 3 kilometers away, traveling with her mother by bicycle. She helps with household chores like cleaning and gathering firewood and spends her free time happily playing. A sponsorship could transform this family’s future by supporting Vinuki’s education and health, easing the financial burden, and helping her grow up with the tools she needs for a brighter tomorrow.
