Sadinsha is a bright young boy living with his parents and brother in the Monaragala District of Sri Lanka. He has a keen interest in learning mathematics and travels 4 kilometers to school with his father by motorcycle each day. In his free time, he enjoys watching television, playing cricket, and riding his bicycle with friends. A considerate child, Sadinsha also helps with household chores such as cleaning, collecting firewood, and fetching water from the well. His family lives in their own home, which has brick walls, a tiled floor, and a clay-tiled roof. While they have access to electricity, they do not have sanitation facilities, and water for daily use must be fetched from their protected well. His mother, a seasonal farmer, is the sole provider for the family. Their unstable financial situation makes it difficult to afford nutritious food, a healthy lifestyle, and access to quality education. A sponsor could help Sadinsha overcome these challenges and give him the chance to grow, learn, and thrive.
