Sailasi was born in Eastern Uganda in a community which is highly populated and thus hindering access to better social services. The family also walks nearly 4 kilometers in order to access the nearest bore hole with clean water. He comes from a family of three members including the mother, father and herself. The family practices subsistence farming and the crops grown are beans, maize, and groundnuts but on small scale because they entirely depend on a small piece of land including where the house is built. As a result, the yields are poor thus the family earning an average monthly income of less than US 10 dollars but this is not enough to meet the needs of the family. His favorite meal is rice and meat but this is not common because it is expensive for the family to regularly buy given the low income levels of the family. Therefore, your contribution towards the family will be of great impact to their lives.
