Ritah is a social and friendly girl who lives with her parents and siblings in a traditional community in North Eastern Uganda. They reside in a mud hut that serves as both a living room and bedroom. Her parents are farmers, earning approximately 10 dollars from their crop harvests. The area is prone to flash floods during the rainy season, which further impacts their livelihood. Ritah attends school, but she lacks the basic requirements needed for proper learning. She often misses school because she walks about 3 kilometers to a community school that is poorly equipped with learning materials. These challenges have affected her academic performance. Despite this, her parents remain hopeful that, with the right support, Ritah will be able to attain a quality education.
