Meet Samuel a friendly child living with both his parents and six siblings in a remote village in the north eastern part of Uganda. He enjoys playing soccer with his siblings and friends. His family lives in a small crowded two roomed grass thatched house that is unconducive during the rainy reason. Due to the overcrowding in the house, Samuel is exposed to various infectious diseases like flu and cough which affect his immunity. Samuel attends formal education and his favourite subject is literacy but he is unable to concentrate on his studies due to the lack of school requirements. This has affected his performance in school. However, he continues to learn new things from his friends and hopes that he will have a brighter future.
