Macrae is humble boy who comes from the Northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. He lives with his mother and Aunt. They live in a palm thatched mud house in a communal land. They fetch water from a community hand pump where the water is saline. His mother is a housewife who is the primary caretaker of the family. However, the annual income derived from this motorist activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to sustain family basic needs. His mother therefore resolved to approach the office for assistance. Macrae is enrolled in an ECD centre where he is in Grade 1 this year. His performance in school is good and he enjoys colouring activity. Macrae likes playing with improvised toy cars with his friends at home. He would like to be a mechanical engineer when he grows up because he loves going to school. While at home, he likes helping his father in washing and repairing their motorbike and assists his mother carrying light house chores such as fetching water and collecting firewood.
