Susan is a charming girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana county. She lives with her mother, four brothers and one sister. They live in a palm thatched mud hut in a communal land. They fetch water from a community hand pump whose water is saline and scarce as it is depended upon by many households in the community. The mother is the breadwinner of the family who depends on mat and basket weaving activity. She also practices charcoal burning as a livelihood supplementation project. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to sustain all the family basic needs. For this reason, her mother decided to approach the office to seek for assistance. She goes to a nearby school and she enjoys sound recognition session and coloring. Susan favorite game is playing hide and seek with her friends at home. She would like to be a surgeon when she grows up. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life and the family at large.
