It is with great pleasure that we introduce you a handsome child named Yonas, who lives in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. Yonas lives with his mother and he has no siblings. His father has abandoned him.  His mother is a breadwinner and she earns meager income from daily laborer work that is not sufficient enough to cover all family’s basic expenses.  He is in school. He enjoys playing hide and seek and football with his friends. After school he spends his time by playing with his age mates. When he grows up he wants to be an engineer. Yonas and his family lives in a small and rented house. The child and family are living in the area where most of the members of the community are affected by leprosy.  Though, there is a nearby hospital, schools, health centers and potable water around the area but most of the communities are destitute family and some of them are living with HIV/AIDS.

Ending child poverty begins with Yonas. It’s easy. It’s impactful.
