Thineth Oshmika is a little boy from Monaragala District, a dry zone area in Sri Lanka where many families depend on farming but face great hardship due to unstable income. He lives with his parents and a brother, and since he is still very small, he has not yet started schooling. Thineth enjoys his childhood by playing, which is his favorite activity, but his family’s situation makes daily life a constant struggle. His mother stays at home as a housewife, while his father works as a farmer, earning an annual income of about $1000. Despite their hard work, providing nutritious meals and covering the cost of future education for the children is very difficult. They live in their own modest house built with brick walls, a cement floor, and a roof of asbestos sheets. The family uses water from their own well and has both toilet and electricity facilities. Sponsorship would be a blessing for Thineth, helping his family meet essential needs and secure a strong educational foundation for him. Supporting this child is truly worthwhile, as it will open the door to a healthier, brighter, and more hopeful future.
