Sejan is a little dancer. He is quite good at it too – he’s got rhythm. Sejan is the only child of his parents. He adores his loving stay-at-home mother and helps her with all the household chores. He helps her to cook, clean, do the laundry and accompanies her to the woods to gather firewood for cooking and helps draw water from the well on their property. Sejan is a very helpful and thoughtful little boy. Sejan goes to school and back with his father on his father’s motorbike. He enjoys the time spent with his hardworking father who is a farmer and is the sole breadwinner of the family. His father’s annual income is about USD545. Sejan works hard in school. His favorite subject is Mathematics. In his spare time, he likes to play a game of Cricket or Volleyball with his friends from the neighborhood. They also ride their bicycles along the beautiful pathways of their village situated in the Moneragala district of Sri Lanka. Sejan’s life would seem to be perfect if not for the poverty that plagues his family. However, a thoughtful intervention by a generous person can really change things for the better.
