Nene, as Zarani is fondly known, lives with her family in their small abode made mostly of bamboo and thatched straw. Her family catches fish to earn a living, often spending long hours at sea to provide for their needs. Their home is situated far from the center of the village, they do not have their own toilet nor electricity, relying instead on basic solar charged lighting, but they do have access to water from a deep well. They also have a backyard garden where vegetables are grown to support their daily nutrition. Meanwhile, Nene is a playful, friendly, and very obedient little girl! She enjoys playing jackstones with her friends and has a natural love for singing. She dreams of becoming a wonderful teacher someday, to teach and help other children! With your sponsorship guiding Nene, she can certainly lead a bright future filled with achievements and success in their humble lives!
